What is a Domain name?

A domain name is basically your website name. A domain name is the address through which Internet users can access your website. A domain name is used for identifying and finding computers on the Internet. Computers make use of IP addresses, which is nothing but a series of number. However, it is hard for humans to memorize strings of numbers. Because of this issue, domain names were introduced and used to identify entities on the Internet rather than using IP addresses.

Domain Name

is the location of your website that people type in the browser’s URL bar to visit your website.  Much as a location is a method people can find positions on a map, domain names enable people to find websites. Your domain name is the user-friendly name which visitors type into the browser address bar to get to your site.

A domain name is a combination of letters and numbers, and it can be apply in combination of the various domain name extensions, such as .net,.com, and more.

The domain name has to be registered before using it. Every domain name is unique on its own. Two websites cannot have the same domain name. If someone types in www.nexahost.com, it will go to Nexahost website and no one else's.
